It's been a while since I had seen or chatted with my Swiss bandmate from the (ec) nudes and Pale Nudes. He developed leukemia in 2014, and recently we spoke again. I decided to make him a song to cheer him up.

I took his name WAEDI WALTER GYSI and fed it through my musical alphabet. I played the resulting tones on bass, and built the song up from there.

Recorded & mixed on Ableton in December, 2021.

This rather astounding record can't really be categorized - musically, it's so full of everything and so original that a short description is impossible. It is superbly played. The words are FANTASTIC and I would have chosen The Butcher as my favourite if the app had allowed me to ;-) Tom Landon
