about

It was with great sadness that we learned the fabulous multi-instrumental musician and rock-solid drummer Bill Rieflin had quietly passed on, after dealing with cancer for many years. I played bass with Bill on drums in the late 1980s in a band called the Shredders, for a B-movie called Shredder Orpheus. We stayed in touch for almost 30 years.

BILL RIEFLIN spells B B E E / F# B E F E B G with my musical alphabet. Those notes became the roots of chords on guitar.

SHREDDER (G# A F# E D D E F#) is the first melody.
ORPHEUS (A# F# C# A E Bb G#) is the echoing melody.

Rest in peace, Bill.
