about

Songs are hunters. This one kidnapped me for about ten days. A month after Trump left the White House, I heard Randy Neal say 'All the king's horses and all the king's men...' and had visions of Humpty Dumpty Trumpty and his handlers slinking off.

The Capitol Building rioters were home again, a new administration was taking wing, and it was time to make noise.

The first draft was recorded by Jon Davis in Everett WA with Randy Neal on bass.
This version is my first attempt at Ableton Live Suite 10.

lyrics

All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Gathered in the man cave nearby the glen
It’s broken! It’s shattered!
its heartstrings' tendrils are tattered!
Cobble them up and make them fatter
Chew them sideways and spit out the chatter

Silence is golden like an egg atop the wall
Shatter the silence and watch the egg fall
