Our landlord was suddenly chainsawing down the front hedge, so I took a walk. On the way, I greeted an old man. He was bundled up in a beige down jacket, hoodie up, beaky face poking out. Just then, the sun came out. He looked at me, then looked to the sun, and tilting his torso with his knees bent, he covered his face with his hands, elbows askew. 'The sun!' I exclaimed. 'The sun!' He exclaimed in his old froggy voice. He continued 'and there I thought all I had to worry about was the RAIN!'
