Immersion Composition Society Session Sunday 12 April, 2020

Second composition of the day.

Inspired by a month in quarantine in Seattle to avoid getting Novel Corona Virus 2019- 2120, Trump's insanity & bellicose belligerence, bleak statistics of death first in New York, now Detroit & New Orleans too.

Bass notes are from PANDEMIC.
I was inspired to write this song having read this article about the great Pandemics of the last 2,000 years: www.newyorker.com/magazine/2020/04/06/pandemics-and-the-shape-of-human-history

E Pluribus Unum (out of many, one) never sounded more sinister.
A family member is on her way out, and there are 3 deaths from COVID-19 in my zip code as of yesterday.
E pluribus unum
Let me pass you my sputum
E pluribus unum
This time I'll pass...on your sputum

Who's tasted the demo of this epidemic?
Epic epidural epistle pissing pustulence posturing apostolically
Pugilistic pestilence preternatural ignorance
Romance's deadly dance wearing fancy new pants
Bearing the weight of a complicated crown
Until we all fall down.

(rising number of dead)
